I love how both books and series picture Moominmama and Snufkin relationship like what’s mother supposed to do.
Since Snufkin was completely lost attachment with parents (and obviously he also found in basket and met at the beginning of Comet in Moominland), Moomintroll’s family adopted him as part of family, even Snufkin still doesn’t really understand about family concept..
Since Moominmama is more caring about their kid(s, including Sniff and Little My), I do understand why Snufkin shares a lot skill from Moominmama?
I see Snufkin can paint (in the 2019 series) while Moominmama can draw and paint well too. Snufkin also very polite, might be from Moominmama’s lesson. Little thing like how’s his hand crawled like how Moominmama does.. Snufkin is gentle with little creatures.. with woodies.. and take care of them for a while and seems enjoy it. I love those scene where Snufkin sips tea with Moominmama outside veranda… and list goes on 💕
I think it’s kinda sweet, for Snufkin who never feel any parents attachment, now he is become a parents itself. He is loved by Moomintroll family and he really means it….
